Wine Connoisseur Evening

We're starting to get very excited about our first Wine Connoisseur Evening. With less than a week to go, we're not just looking forward to it, but in anticipation of an excellent night in excellent company, we are positively ecstatic. 

The evening just continues to get better and better: as well as fabulous dishes prepared by FishWorks’ Executive Chef Michael Brown and fine wines presented by grower, Nicholas Choblet of the Loire Valley’s award winning Domaine du Haut Bourg vineyard, guests will have the chance on the night to walk away an array of fantastic prizes with our business-card raffle.

In keeping with the French theme, the star prize is a pair of tickets to the forthcoming British & Irish v French Rugby Legends match on 22nd February at Twickenham, (in which celebrity French Chef Michel Roux Jnr is to play 5 minutes each half), accompanied by a meal at FishWorks’ Richmond restaurant before the game!

Also available to win are a meal for 2 at FishWorks’ Swallow Street, a meal for 2 at FishWorks’ Marylebone and a mixed case of six of the finest wines from the Domaine du Haut Bourg estate.

Loire Valley comes to London

In advance of the famed Vitloire Festival, which celebrates the best wines of France's Loire Valley, Nicholas Choblet, owner of the region’s award winning Domaine du Haut Bourg vineyard will be Guest of Honour at FishWorks Swallow Street for our inaugural Wine Connoisseur Evening... and what a fascinating night it promises to be.

As well as enjoying sensational food and exclusive wine, Nicholas will give us an insight into the history behind the outstanding wines he produces in Loire Valley, where succeeding generations of the Choblet family have continued the noble family tradition of wine making.

Five glasses will be enjoyed over the course of the event, each married perfectly with a freshly prepared FishWorks dish, although you are of course more than welcome to purchase more!

With FishWorks Executive Chef Michael Brown having worked closely with Nicholas to design a sumptuous 5 Course Menu, throughout the evening you will not only enjoy an exceptional meal but experience new taste sensations while learning more about the wines, their region and the qualities which make them most suited to each delicious dish.

For those looking to enjoy their new-found favourite wines at home, a tempting 20% discount on purchases for Sommelier's Choice will also be available on the night.
